Maine Park has always strived to meet the modern cattle market’s needs. So, breeding black Maine- Anjou cattle alongside the traditional colour was always going to be an easy decision.

Maine Park Black Moocha offers the stud and commercial breeder his own excellent traits. He has all the credentials and puts them into his calves.

This bull is Domestic Pure so his offspring from Pure Maine females are Pure in class. Maine Park have never bred bulls with any breed classing of less than Domestic Pure.

He is by Canadian bull KFN Beefmaker Express 71T and out of Wattle Glen Glenda. Glenda never fails to produce a smooth, deep bodied calf every year and Black Moocha was no exception. He was one of those calves just looked great right from the start.

Maine Park Pixie and Maine Park Penny are two heifers that show Moocha’s ability to put top quality

females on the ground. These heifers are neat and tidy, they are moderately framed and they have

impeccable udders and hooves.

Maine Park Robert is an exceptional bull calf. Robert is by Maine Park Black Moocha out of Maine

Park Maxine. This calf has taken Maine Parks’ weight for age to a whole new level. Weighing 536kgs

at 10 months he has shown the best weights ever at Maine Park so far.

Maine Park Black Moocha has been used over commercial and stud herds all over Australia with

great success. A commercial breeder in Kilmore has used Moocha over Angus cows and the calves

are typical examples of this bulls’ excellence. And of course, all calves born to date by Black Moocha

have been born unassisted.
